The Holy Land Handicraft Cooperative Society aims to preserve the handicraft traditions of the Holy Land for the benefit of future generations of Palestinians, especially the olivewood tradition which was first developed because of the local availability of the raw material and the demand by pilgrims for religious icons.
Representatives will be selling these hand carved olive wood and mother of pearl religious items to help Christian families in Bethlehem and Jerusalem, so they can stay and survive in the Holy Land and keep Christianity alive there.
The Holy Land Handicraft Cooperative Society has a dream of peace in the Holy Land, and believe that Fair Trade is a tool to reach their aspirations.
Please consider making a purchase of their beautiful artwork to support their important cause.
