at 7PM on the outdoor stage! Come enjoy cool breezes, great music, and parish friends at this free outdoor event. Bring your picnic dinner and beverages!
FRIDAY, AUGUST 25
Nearly 100 persons packed the final night of the Annual Summer Concert Series on the Patio, Friday, August 25, featuring the iChildren’s Choir, AdultChoir, Tagalog Choir, Spanish Choir, and Dennis & Austin Doyle. Fr. Rodel Balagtas led the opening prayer, and Fr.Ramon Reyes provided mixed drinks to parched audience members. A Lemonade Stand by some entrepreneurial members of the iChildren’s Choir raised $245 ($100 of which were tips for Fr. Ramon!). Also performing, during the karaoke open-call, were Ann Marie Smith, Ronald Panuga, Ed Vargas, Elaine Carluen, Miley Bermejo, Lileth Panuga, Jen Santiago, and McKayla Lim. The 2024 Summer Concert Series is scheduled for August 9, 16, and 23.Everyone is welcome!
FRIDAY, AUGUST 18
The second concert on August 18 featured the iBand, the youth-young adult choir that serves at the 4PM Sunday Mass. The otherwise 25 members were represented that night by MaryAnn Mmeje, Les Rangel-Santos, Amador Solis, Ferdinand Soriano, Melissa Stenger, and Ina Tongson. Also performing during the karaoke open-call were Marilen Grimm, Margaret Steele, Melissa Stenger, Ina Tongson, Jen Dabatos, three visitors from Oregon, and Fr. Rodel who also shared a mouth-watering charcuterie board with everyone. Ted Schroeder played three American folk songs on the fiddle. Everyone closed the evening by singing We Are the World.
FRIDAY, AUGUST 11:
The first concert on August 11 featured singer-songwriter and recording artist CASEY SHEA who performed original songs on guitar, accompanied on the bass by his friend Joe. Also performing were LES RANGEL-SANTOS and our home-grown seminarian CARLOS TOBON. Mojitos and mouth-watering charcuterie delicacies were prepared by FR. RAMON REYES to the delight of the nearly 50 parishioners and guests in attendance. As the sunset brought evening luminaries, some members of the audience shared their own talents through karaoke: MARILEN GRIMM, AARON PANUGA & MCKAYLA LIM, LILETH PANUGA, FR. REYES,SAM VENCES, and MONICA RANGEL-SANTOS.
